Elkhart Lake, WI. (Wednesday, June 13, 2023)– Road America holds great promise for Ireland’s James Roe in an INDY NXT™ by Firestone championship season that has recorded a different winner in each of the first five races.

One of the most consistent drivers in the field, Roe added two more top-ten finishes around the streets of Detroit, highlighted by a sixth place finish in race two. The 24-year-old sits ninth in the championship standing with 117 points – with just 6 points separating him from teammate Louis Foster in 6th place.

Roe’s experience at the circuit will benefit his No. 29 Topcon Andretti Autosport team as they tackle the historic four-mile, 14-turn road course. In 2019, Roe notched a Road America win in the U.S. Formula 3 championship and followed up in 2022 with a solid drive to a seventh place finish in the INDY NXT event. .

“I am really looking forward to this weekend’s race at Road America,” Roe said. “The track has just been repaved so it will be interesting to see how that shapes up for everyone. Our race pace has been very strong over the past few weeks so the plan is to capitalize on that with the No. 29 crew.”

Andretti Autosport has recorded 17 INDY NXT podium finishes at Road America since the track returned to the schedule in 2016. Roe looks to add to that number and grow his championship points cache for his partners Topcon, CES Power, Strong Roots, Ring Power Corporation, The Ireland Funds, and GAAPP.
