Newton, IA. (Wednesday, July 19, 2023)- The first oval of the INDY NXT™ by Firestone series at Iowa Speedway offers a new venue for James Roe and Andretti Autosport  to showcase their speed and continue to climb the championship standings.

With speeds approaching 160 miles per hour and racing lines that rival a superspeedway, “The World’s Fastest Short Track” presents a mental and physical challenge for Roe and his fellow drivers.

“I’m looking forward to our first oval race of the season,” Roe said. “We had a pretty solid test there a few weeks ago and look to continue that over into the race weekend for a good result.I got my first road to Indy pole position on an oval and ever since have really enjoyed them.”

Going into the weekend, the Irish driver sits eighth in the championship standings with 165 points for partners Topcon, CES Power, Strong Roots, Ring Power Corporation, The Ireland Funds, and GAAPP.

With a top four finish in his recent Iowa series test, Roe and his No. 29 Topcon Andretti Autosport machine are poised for a thrilling drive and a points haul in The Hawkeye State. .
